Notes

This week I past the test for the final module for the ECDL passport or logbook, which I suppose will be sent off and I receive a certificate in return. Thursday hardware class is still ongoing and the Mon&Frid classes we can still attend and use the facilities.

Still working on Python and Tkinter (and keeping up on some HTML and Javascript) on Mandrake, on the old DVD machine from Jeremy next door, which provides so many excellent packages.

I also spent an hour on an exercise bicycle on Tuesday and the effects did not wear off till Friday!

Sunday walk was called off for a rain threat. So the walkers met at Walker's for coffee. M has booked for a weekend in Oban and the festival week at Kircudbright (instead of Kelso), although the Mansons and Margaret Walker are going to Kelso, for their own reasons.

We look forward to the train trip to Parkgate soon for another birthday.

Two interesting replies to my letter to a Virden newspaper, from an 86 year old farmer in Cromer and another not too far from Virden either. Makes me wonder if I should arrange a visit there; perhaps next year.
