Medrox Cottage, Tighnabruaich

My cousin, Helen McLean(married to George Currie, Stirling), called in from New Zealand to visit. As a 16 year old she holidayed in Kames so we took her to Tighnabruaich to see the Medrox Cottage(and the house in front), both built by William McLean, when Rankin bought South Medrox farm and retenanted it with the previous owner. The cottage has been given a terrace and an add-on at the back. The owner, Peter Scott, sold the house in front and now lives in Medrox Cottage.

We also went to Ardlamont Bay (Ostel Bay) where she had played. And in Kilfilan church we saw the marble stones in the vault of the Rankin family...the old lairds.
