Linux and the revolution

• Linux box came without root name or password; eventually received these and a pretty blue screen with 18 program icons appeared...but the mouse(and roller-ball) is seized up. Perhaps it has been programmed for another kind of mouse!!
• Iain Tyre's box has gigabytes of space and is working so might try two operating systems on it.
• Russell on the phone tonight via mobile for which he has a card and he says (in America and Australia) the cost is cheap. 150 miles away from nearest hurrican damage. Will visit his distant relatives (not far from him in Florida) in January when he is going back again.
• We had Margaret Hunter, Joanne and Elma (we were all at Margaret's son's wedding) for a steak pie dinner last night.
• Doing tests on Power Point this morning at the school. Questions were printed in book form rather than using the other program which has controlled direction on the computer. Construction course tomorrow morning. Last week I was 10 minutes or so away from loading 6 Linux discs when someone pulled the plug thinking it fed their computer!!! I'll keep my distance tomorrow.
• A message on our phone when Isla has the baby should be O.K.
